thought the Nokia N96 for Rs 40,000 (indian) is not worth a dime of its price, here is your white knight.
After traumatic nights and sleepless days of tossing and turning over leaked images and speculation, HTC has officially taken the bathrobe off its new girl, the HTC Touch HD 3G.
The Touch HD is aimed at the geeks and enthusiasts who are happy to find the middle ground. The Touch HD won't be as ridiculously expensive as the Iphone 3G and it won't force you into Itunes. But you will be stuck with Windows Mobile 6.1 with Touch Flo over the top. So basically it depends on what you prefer, the Fruit (Apple) or the Chips (Microsoft).
So what are the goodies? The HTC Touch HD comes with a 3.8-inch VGA 480 x 800 screen inside a 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm case and weighs 146.4 grams with the battery.
The phone is loaded with a 5.0MP camera, but there is no flash.
HTC Touch HD has quad-band connectivity, 3G support, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g support. the phone runs on a Qualcomm MSM7201a ship at 528MHz with 288MB RAM, 512MB flash memory and a microSD slot for extra storage.
HTC says that the Touch HD will be available in India towards the end of the year.
If you've read this article clearly, you will know that I haven't mentioned the price. Sadly no price tag has been leaked by HTC but I can assure you this phone will be cheaper than its fruity rival, the Apple Iphone 3G.
